What is this workshop?

Science of Belly Binding is a three (3) day intensive professional workshop that prepares birth workers of all sorts to belly bind their clients. This informative hands-on workshop will cover the history of an ancient restorative technique called Bengkung Belly Binding and how it relates to modern-day postpartum women. You will gain hands-on experiences about:

- The process of wrapping and binding fabric to support the pelvis and the torso/abdominal area.

- Understanding the techniques of Bengkung Belly Binding used by indigenous Malaysian and Indonesian women, midwives, doulas, and other maternal healthcare practitioners.

Bengkung Belly Binding aids in recovery from the trauma of birth by assisting the body's natural healing process. By binding the belly you will assist in the healing of C-section scars, the involution of the uterus, and the shifting of organs. You will also learn how to relieve stress, increase hormonal balance and detoxify the body and emotions using various essential oils and herbs to boost the healing process for postpartum recovery.

Receive insight into the anatomy of the torso and pelvic region. Tighten, tone, shed baby fat, and heal the abdomen through appropriate fitness instruction which speeds the healing process of recti diastasis, pelvic floor injuries, lower back pain, and bad posture. Every woman deserves and needs a stronger core, more strength, and self-confidence after the humbling experience of pregnancy and birth.
